Parizaad

Parizaad is the story of a poor young man given a name that means "born of a fairy" — and mocked for it his whole life, because the world has decided he is ugly.

Hashim Nadeem's socio-romantic novel first appeared episodically in a weekly magazine before being published as a book in 2014. It follows a man stripped of his self-worth by other people's judgement, and what patience costs him. The television adaptation made it one of the most talked-about Pakistani stories of recent years.
