Islamic Studies (Book 4)

This is book 4 of a 4-year Islamic Studies curriculum which may be used in Grades 7-12. Each book covers basic Islamic knowledge including tawheed (Islamic monotheism), studies of Qur'an and Hadith and the sources and teachings of Islamic law. Questions at the end of every unit help the students use the information and assess progress. Islamic Studies Book 4:This 4th year Islamic curriculum textbook deepens the student's knowledge of tawheed and tafseer, with examples given of select chapters of the Noble Qur’an. Book 4 also introduces the student to Hadith criticism, and in the units on Islamic law, inheritance and Islamic finance are the focus of study. About the Dr Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips is a Jamaican Canadian Islamic Scholar born on the 17th of July 1947 who converted to Islam in the early seventies after journeying politically and intellectually from Christianity to Communism. Shortly after his reversion to Islam, he embarked on a spiritual academic journey to the other side of the world seeking Islamic knowledge. This journey took him to Saudi Arabia where he completed a BA in Islamic studies in Madeenah, and an MA in Islamic Theology in Riyadh, then to the University of Wales, UK, where he completed a PhD in Islamic Theology in the early nineties.
